I am Domince. I am a Computer Science student at the University of Mindanao Tagum College, specializing in Artificial Intelligence. My current focus is building web applications that solve real-world problems through advanced AI integration. While I have a strong foundation in crafting sleek front-end interfaces, my primary expertise is building functional full-stack platforms powered by robust databases and Large Language Models (LLMs).
I design the data flow first, then build the interface around real user workflows. Catsy Coffee, GanapPH, and Baylora all show this pattern: clear APIs, role-based flows, and frontends that stay understandable under real product complexity.
I care about interface feel, but I treat motion as product feedback rather than decoration. My goal is a fast, readable UI that uses animation to guide attention without hiding the engineering underneath.
My ML work is practical: disease detection, multilingual NLP, and recommendation flows. I document the model choices, feedback loops, and limits so reviewers can see the actual engineering decisions.
Experience
Built a fullstack 3-tier system for Catsy Coffee and a multi-vendor marketplace (Baylora). In Machine Learning, developed a KNN Banana Leaf Disease detector, gathered real-world samples, and advanced it using CNNs. Engineered an NLP topic and language modeling tool for Tagalog, English, and Bisaya. Pitched 'GanapPH', an AI-powered job recommendation platform.
Deepened knowledge in Java (OOP, Data Structures & Algorithms). Expanded to fullstack web development with PHP and MySQL, focusing on database normalization, SQL queries, application dataflow, and data visualization using charts.
Mastered the core building blocks of the web: HTML semantics, the DOM, and CSS presentation. Learned how to structure web layouts and apply global styling using classes and IDs to create responsive interfaces.
Began programming during the COVID-19 pandemic by writing Lua scripts for games in Roblox. Transitioned to the Godot Engine to build 2D RPGs, sparking a lifelong passion for software engineering and problem-solving.
